Getting to Cuyabeno National Park

How to Get to Cuyabeno and Green Forest Ecolodge

Reaching Green Forest Ecolodge, in the Ecuadorian Amazon, involves a journey by road followed by a canoe ride along the Cuyabeno River. Cuyabeno Bridge is our meeting point, where our team will welcome you before continuing to the lodge.

You can travel from Quito, Baños, Lago Agrio, or Coca by shared shuttle, public bus, private transfer, or your own vehicle.

Meeting Point: Cuyabeno Bridge

Plan to arrive at the bridge between 11:30 am and noon, according to the meeting time confirmed for your booking. After completing the reserve entry registration, you will begin the canoe journey.

The canoe ride to Green Forest Ecolodge takes approximately two to two and a half hours, depending on river conditions. Along the way, you can enjoy the Amazonian scenery and your first opportunities to spot wildlife.

Round-trip canoe transportation is included in all our tour packages. Ground transportation to the bridge is booked separately. Getting to Cuyabeno National Park

Public Bus from Quitumbe

The Putumayo bus company offers a departure from Quitumbe Terminal at 9:30 pm, heading to Cuyabeno Bridge. The approximate fare is USD 23 per person.

Take this bus the night before your tour begins. We recommend arriving at the terminal early to purchase your ticket and confirming the departure time with the bus company.
